One of the cool things about doing school visits is the kids inspire me. Kids have such amazing ideas. When I saw this drawing of Dundog, a monster dog drawn with the letter D, it just made me think of the monster in a whole new way. I always saw Dundog as a slow moving sort of lazy bulldog type creature. But when I saw this students piece I imagined a ferocious monster that everyone feared. It has these loud black and white markings on it to warn others to stay away and large plumes or feathers on it's head. I had to draw my own version, but I still the original is way better.
